Preserve before reporting
Record the exact URL and UTC timestamp, a full screenshot or saved page, and each challenged sentence. Gather original documents, court dispositions or transaction records that rebut it. Save any payment demand with complete email headers, payment address, sender handle and dates. Capture current RDAP/hosting details because registrants and sites move.
Choose the relevant desk
For a current page, follow Cloudflare’s abuse guidance if it sits behind that service, and GoDaddy’s abuse guidance if the domain is registered there. Cloudflare often provides a pass-through CDN rather than origin hosting, and registrars do not necessarily control published content. Search legal-removal routes require the relevant jurisdiction and exact URLs; a court order about another plaintiff is not a general removal writ.
Report suspected crimes with evidence
The FBI IC3 form accepts reports from outside the US according to its FAQ; it triages and refers complaints without promising an individual investigation or takedown. People in South Africa can use official police contact channels for suspected criminal conduct. A lawyer can assess defamation, harassment, privacy and civil remedies on local facts.
Avoid amplifying a weak case
Do not pay a removal request without independent advice or assume payment guarantees removal. Do not file a copyright notice for material you do not own or assert rights you cannot support. A disputed factual claim is not automatically copyright infringement. Focus on accurate, dated evidence; avoid naming unverified human operators or calling every linked site criminal.
